Swish, Swish, Swish

We met with our actual doctor for the first time yesterday and got to hear the baby's heartbeat (154 beats per minute). All is well and everything is measuring where it should be.

Also at this appointment, we made the appointment for our 20 week ultrasound. We'll find out the sex of the baby on October 27th!

Today marks the beginning of the second trimester so the queasiness should be subsiding pretty soon. It is hard to believe that we are one third of the way done with this pregnancy. We better get going on that baby room...

This week the baby is about the size of a clenched fist. S/he is practicing wiggling its toes and possibly sucking its thumb. Speaking of fingers, the baby has fingerprints.

I remember the swish, swish - but can't even imagine how exciting it is for you two to hear it. Glad to know that things are going great - and hope that you are feeling better. I can't wait to see the next "pictures", not to mention finding out if it is a she or he - don't care, but that info will help out my shopping instinct. Love you - Grand/Mom G

I loved the swish, swish sound. It is amazing and unforgettable. I looked forward to that sound at every appointment. You will love the ultrasound too. That was the one that Hailey waved at us and we actually got a picture of it. I can't wait to hear what the baby is!
